Lighter Alternative to Blast Cleaning
Both manual and power tools can be used for surface preparation. Rust, old paint, and weakly adherent mill scale can all be removed using hand tool cleaning, such as with a wire brush or sandpaper. Nevertheless, rust or a layer of firmly applied coatings are frequently left on the surface after mechanical or hand preparation.
Power tools are more efficient and require less effort to clean, even when cleaning down to bare metal. We use rotary wire brushes, sanding discs, and needle guns. These tools don’t clean as thoroughly as abrasive blasting, but in some cases, they might be the only suitable substitute techniques.
